In a heartbreaking show of love and loyalty, a pooch from Texas, USA, was seen staying by the dead body of his sister on the side of a road.
In a post that was made by the Kingsville Kleberg Health Department Animal Control and Care Center, they said they got a call about a dead dog that was lying on the side of a road.
Upon arriving at the scene, the saw the dog sitting next to the deceased pooch with one protective paw resting on her body.
Workers that came at the scene said that the dog is a Catahoula mix aged between six and 12 months.
The protective dog was named as Guardian because of his protective actions.
It was not easy for members of the team to convince the dog that they were there to help them.
Luckily, they managed to persuade the dog and brought him to an animal shelter.
On May 29, 2020, the authorities placed Guardian for adoption and he found a new forever home.
The love that dogs show to us and their brothers or sisters just helps us realize that they are special.
Sometimes I think we don’t deserve them.
