Cris Mamprim, a healthcare worker, and other workers at the Hospital Regional Alto Vale in Brazil got to witness something that they might never get to witness again ever in their lives.
Cris and the staff at the hospital got to witness the true definition of love between humans and animals.
Cesar, a homeless man, entered the Hospital Regional Alto Vale in Brazil to receive treatment and medication for a condition that he has been battling.
The man went through treatment and the staff later realized that he was not alone.
Cesar may be homeless, but the man was full of love and care.
Looking outside the front door of the hospital was a group of faithful dogs that were patiently waiting for him to come out and pet them.
Cris and the staff at the hospital got to know from Cesar that he was taking care of the dogs as they were just like him, homeless.
Cesar said that he sometimes doesn’t eat to make sure his friend puppies have something in their stomachs.
During an interview with The Dodo, Cris said, “They are all well taken care of and chubby. Seeing them like that, waiting at the door, only shows how much they are cared for and loved.”
The dogs were patiently waiting for their caretaker to come out of the hospital, and luckily, they did not have to wait for a long time.
Amazed by the situation, the staff at the hospital gave medication and food to Cesar and his friend dogs.
The staff also allowed the dogs to come inside so they wouldn’t keep them apart.
Cris explained, “Believe me, he ate some and saved a bit to give the dogs later.”
After spending 1 hour at the Hospital Regional Alto Vale in Brazil, Cesar was allowed to be discharged.
Cris said the dogs were so happy to see their friend come out of the hospital.
The dogs were wagging their tails when Cesar was discharged from the hospital.
Cris added, “He has the best companions with him. I do not know what his life is like, or why he’s on the street, but I admire the respect and love he has for his little animals […] If only everyone were like this.”
Sometimes, it’s the small things that make us humans.
A small act of kindness to other people and animals would help us make their day. So be kind and help other people and animals!
