Florida Woman Shoots Dog In The Head With Crossbow Because She Was Trying To Scare It

A heartless 37-year-old woman from Florida has been taken into custody for shooting a dog in the head with a crossbow because she was trying to “scare” it.

37-year-old Carey Wilson reportedly shot Unicorn, a Labrador dog, in the head with a crossbow.

Wilson reportedly said that she fired the shot in an attempt to scare off the dog, however, something worse happened.

The crossbow ricocheted off the skull of the Unicorn after piercing the skin.

Wilson was found guilty of this crime and is currently facing animal cruelty charges.

The incident happened on May 16, 2020, after the Labrador urinated on the tire of her vehicle, said the police.

According to reports, Unicorn, the dog, was not acting aggressively when the incident happened.

Wilson said that she did not mean to harm the dog.

Also, she said that it was not the first time that she had gotten in a confrontation with the animal. Wilson claims that the dog had been appearing in her fenced-in yard, where the dog reportedly killed animals.

The woman also said that the dog had lunged towards her daughter once, who suffers from mobility issues.

She added:

The dog doesn’t want to leave, so I grabbed a crossbow, my intentions were not to kill the dog, but to try to get the message across, ‘Get out the yard’. My goal was not to hit the dog directly. I was trying to scare it off.

Animal control said that the testimony of the woman does not add up to the incident that had happened.

The authorities said that Wilson had never called the authorities before in connection to a canine threat incident.

A report also stated that she told a police officer that she was tired of lying or making up excuses, and ended up admitted to shooting the dog.

The dog was in the yard of Wilson peeing on the tire of her vehicle, but the animal was not aggressive when the incident happened.
