Something you were not expecting to hear this week.
A Komodo dragon reportedly attacked an Indonesian construction worker that was working to help build a $6.5 million “Jurassic Park”.
The park is inspired on an island where the world’s largest lizards have been roaming for thousands of years.
Elias Agas, the laborer, was rushed to a hospital by a speedboat from Rinca Island in Komodo National Park after one of the fast lizards attacked him.
The 46-year-old was bitten on the left leg and right wrist last week.
Around 4000 Komodo Dragons live on a cluster of islands in the eastern part of Indonesia.
The national park encompasses the islands and has only seen very few visitors.
The head of the park security said that the attack happened on December 9, 2020.
The worker was seriously injured, confirmed the head of the park.
A co-worker of Agas said that the lizard was a couple of feet away when it decided to attack the worker when he was working.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the victim, may he recover from his injuries fast.
