A loyal dog is currently viral on the internet right now after they managed to walk over 62 miles for over 2 weeks to find its owners after it was brought to a family friend’s house to stay there temporarily.
Ping An, a 1-year-old golden retriever from Qidong, Jiangsu, China, was brought to a house in Nantong, which is around 2 hours away from Qidong.
The dog was brought to the house of their owner’s friend because there was work going on in their original house.
The stay of Ping was supposed to be temporary there as the owner of the dog was renovating her house and was going to take her back once it was all done.
However, 4 months after that, Ping got tired of waiting and left the house.
Yep, just like what humans would do!
The family initially assumed that Ping just ran away, but little did they know that the dog was trying to find the house of their owner.
Ping ended up on a trek for over 2 weeks to reach the house of her real owner.
By the time she reached an office building, where she was rescued by a group of workers, Ping was limping and her paws were badly injuries.
The workers said that there was blood coming out from the paws of the dog and the dog was pretty malnourished.
The workers helped the dog by treating her and managed to track down the real owners of Ping with the help of WeChat, a messaging application that is similar to WhatsApp.
The owners of Ping said that they initially thought the dog ran away.
Ping was rushed to a vet and was treated for the injuries and malnutrition that she had experienced after going on a long trek for over 2 weeks.
A video of the reunion was also shared with the public.
Owners of Ping could be heard telling the dog that they had worked hard and that they will not be sending her away.
The owners of Ping also said that they regret sending the dog away to the house of their friend at a very far place.
Ping traveled over 100 kilometers to reach the office building in her city, where she was rescued by good people.
Such a good story!
