Man Who Lost Arms, Legs, And Nose After Being Licked By Dog Says He Stay Loyal To His Pet

Grge Manteufel lost his arms, legs, and nose after he was licked by his dog, which led him to contract capnocytophaga, a type of bacteria that is mostly found in the mouths of cats and dogs.

His life changed after he was forced to go through a surgery that would amputate his nose, legs, and arms.

Grge contracted a rare blood infection after his dog licked him, which forced him to have his legs, arms, and part of his face removed.

But even after going through so much, Grge said he will stay loyal to his pet and will stay by his pet’s side.

Grge said his dog licked him since he has had his amputations.

Grge, who is a painter from Wisconsin, was brought to a hospital on June 26, 2018, after he had a fever.

When he was brought to the hospital in Wisconsin, he had a fever and was feeling really weak.

After conducting a number of blood tests, the doctors concluded that he had a severe blood infection, which was caused by capnocytophaga.

Ellie, the dog of Grge, is believed to be the host of the bacteria, but the family of Grge declined to get the pooch tested to see if it carried the bacteria.

According to People, Grge said he was around a number of dogs before he got sick.

During an interview with Time, Grge said, “We weren’t going to get rid of her if it was her that caused it anyway. We just love her to death.”

He also talked about Ellie and what he would do once he gets out of the hospital.

When Grge was speaking with Fox6, a news agency, he said, “I couldn’t wait to see her when I got out of the hospital. We don’t want people to be scared of their dogs because of what happened to me. I’ve been around dogs my whole life, having them lick at me in my face and hands and everywhere.”

He added, “The doctors told me I could have probably hit the lottery five times that day before I should have got what I got that day from a dog.”

Grge is now using prosthetics so he could do normal chores.

Grge said he can use cutlery, open doorknobs, cut food, and use a remote with the prosthetics.

He is set to have surgery later this year that will correct his nose.
