The naughtiest dog of Britain managed to chew his way through £9,000 worth of furniture.
Despite that, the owners said they still love the dog.
The owners of Boxer Cooper said that the dog has managed to rip 8 sofas to shreds and gnawed their way through dining room tables.
The dog has also destroyed over 10 remote controls.
Jill Kirkham, the owner of the dog, said that the first thing the dog destroyed is their cuddle chair and the dog was just 12 months old when that happened.
Jill said that the dog has worked his way through 7 of them up until this day.
It’s like this dog has a big appetite for destruction.
The family ended up spending thousands of pounds on replacement furniture.
Jill, a cleaning supervisor, said she loves her dog despite the dog being destructive.
The woman said:
Cooper is definitely Britain’s naughtiest dog. He has cost us an arm and a leg, but I wouldn’t have him any other way. He is my best friend and the most loving dog.
Cooper, who is currently 5 years old, is now calm and is trying to stay calm.
The family said that they currently have their 9th sofa, and the dog has not yet done anything on it.
The dog brought their dog to their home in 2015.
Jill said that her heart just melted when she met the dog.
Talking about 12-month-old Cooper, the woman said:
We could tell he was going to be mischievous when we got him as a pup, but I was not expecting to have to shell out £9,000 for new furniture. He didn’t just nibble the cuddle chair, he took it back to the bare framework. To say it was a shock when I walked in from work was an understatement. It was then I realised just how destructive he was.
Jill, the owner of the dog, came to their house to find out that their dog has pulled their sofa apart.
At that time, the woman was not happy.
Jill continued:
This time I was not happy. He had left it in tatters. We spent a few weeks without any furniture before we could replace it.
Since starting to destroy stuff, Cooper was enrolled in puppy training classes.
He was sent there so he could try and control his behavior.
The dog is now calming down, thanks to the treatment that they are receiving.
Talking about the classes, Jill said:
He hasn’t eaten our latest sofa yet. It’s a leather one and I don’t think he likes the taste of it. We’ve gone through eight sofas, numerous mobile phones, two dining tables, rugs, shoes, trainers and handbags galore. But we wouldn’t change him for the world.
