We all love our dogs, but the saddest part of our day is when we have to go away for work and leave them completely alone. Once we arrive at work, we usually wonder and think about what our lovely pooches are doing.
The good thing is, ordinary men and women are not the only ones that are thinking about this.
Spotify, a music streaming platform, decided to make specialized playlists and podcasts for dogs to listen to when they are left home alone by their owners.
This latest plan was announced after the platform found out that nearly 74 percent of pet owners in the United Kingdom play music for their animals once they leave them alone.
Spotify said they have launched a podcast that features soothing music, “dog-directed praise”, stories, and messages of affirmation and reassurance that are narrated by actors.
All of these features were made so the platform can alleviate stress for dogs that are alone inside their home.
The playlists are completely aimed towards pets, and the music is selected by its algorithm to match the characteristics of the pet.
The music can be for pet dogs that are calm or energetic.
Spotify said it found in a survey that one in four pet-owners play music for their pets to listen to for company when they are away from their home.
The company said 42 percent of owners said their pets have a favorite type of music.
A quarter of pet owners said they have seen their pet dogs dancing when their favorite type of music is being played.
