Video Shows Kangaroos Fleeing Away From Bushfires

A heartbreaking video that is viral on social right now, it shows dozens of kangaroos fleeing from bushfires that continue to ravage the southeast coast of Australia.

The kangaroos in the video can be seen running across land near NSW (New South Wales).

The kangaroos were filmed in Bredbo, a village in New South Wales.

The Kangaroos can be seen searching for a Greenland.

Mitchell Lyons, the person who captures the video, said: “Look, they don’t know which way to run from cars, but they sure know which way to run from the fire.”

Mitchell said the closes bushfire was around 6 miles away from the land the kangaroos were running away from.

Mitchell thinks the kangaroos came out from the land to find water for a drink.

The wildlife rescue services rescued some of the kangaroos and treated them for burnt pads.

Bushfires in Australia have been raging for the past 3 months, and have killed nearly 500 million animals.

The devastating fires have also destroyed more than 4 million hectares of land across 5 states.

The numbers that are mentioned above are just estimates the wildlife experts gave earlier this week.

As of now, the authorities believe over 500 million have been killed by the massive bushfires.

Wombats, snakes, birds, koalas, kangaroos, wallabies, possums, and echidnas are some of the animals that have been killed by the bushfires.

Koalas are the ones that got hit the most.

Experts believe nearly 30 percent of them got wiped out by the fires.
