Abdul Kalam (1931-2015) , the scientist, president, an aerospace Engineer – popularly called the Missile Man of India is an inspiration to all the people from different ages and of different fields all across the globe. This great man with modesty, simple thinking and great living sets a standing example of innovation in the thought process for decades.
The former President was in IIM Shillong on Monday evening where he collapsed while giving a public lecture. Kalam’s body will be flown to Delhi tomorrow (28 July). A seven-day national mourning has been announced, PTI reported citing Union Home Secretary LC Goyal.

“The former president was brought almost dead to our hospital. He is in a critical condition. We are trying to revive the patient,” John Sailo Ryntathiang, director of Bethany Hospital, had told IANS.
“He is in the Intensive Care Unit. We are examining him. We suspect that it could be cardiac arrest,” Sailo had said.
Home Minister Rajnath Singh tweeted, saying that “Dr Kalam was a man of impeccable character, indomitable spirit, profound knowledge and firm conviction.”
