Not just that, this situation triggered a massive controversy on social media too. An Army man has written an open letter to Twinkle Khanna slamming her and Akshay for their move and also threatening to take a legal recourse.

The idea of auctioning the uniform came to the public after Akshay Kumar took to Twitter to announce the same. The bidding is for raising money for an NGO Janice’s Trust which works for animal rescue. Akshay’s wife Twinkle Khanna also shared the news on all her social media.

However, even as most of the social media users hailed the move, a section of netizens was not very happy with the move. The auction move did not go down well with some social media users as they are of the opinion that it’s an insult to the defense fraternity because their uniform is too priceless to be auctioned off.
