Post the bold decision of demonetization, people are really facing loads of problems due to lack of currency. They either have to depend on e-wallets or on other digitized methods of payments. But people who aren’t aware of e-wallets and digitized payments methods, how can they pay or purchase anything out.
When it comes to traveling, people mostly prefer to online taxi services like Uber, Ola, etc. They are even convenient and hassle-free. Those days we used to be restricted to expensive autos and small taxis. However, the new concept hasn’t gone down well with the auto drivers and they are trying all possible ways to convince customers to not opt for the newer versions.
Some taxi drivers even threaten customers as in this below case.
Vidya Gopalakrishnan, from Kerala, booked a cab to Kakkanad from Ernakulam railway station. However, the auto drivers were so rowdy that they threatened her to get down immediately. Thus, Vidya took a video of these rickshaw drivers and uploaded on YouTube.
In the video, we can hear them talking in Malayalam and the auto drivers were seen threatening her and the taxi driver. Soon after they saw her making the video, they became even more furious and said Vidya that it is not going to be of any use.
The auto-drivers also harassed and told her that the Transport Commission has put up a “Written rule” which states that cabs like Uber, Ola and others aren’t allowed in the area.
