‘Before And After’ Pictures Of Mahamana Express That Became A Trash Can Within A Week

A week after Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off the “Mahamana Express”, said to be the first major passenger train upgraded in facilities and design in India, pictures of coaches littered with papers and plastic and clogged basins have emerged on social media. But here are some of the pictures that have evoked strong reactions from social media users, with many urging passengers to behave responsibly.

Indian Railways has decided to educate passengers about travel etiquette. Railways had spent around Rs 30 lakh for the new coaches with upgraded facilities like controlled discharged water tap, exhaust fan and LED lights in the toilet, well-designed ladders for climbing up to upper berths, a number of plug points and so on.

People took to Twitter to share the pictures of unkempt coaches of the one-week-old train which was flagged off by Modi Ji on January 22nd. Pictures went viral on all social media platforms asking the passengers to behave properly.
