Before Leaving For Dubai, Sridevi Made A Phone Call To Her Childhood Friend
Being the epitome of perfection in terms of beauty and versatility, actress Sridevi was truly a standout personality. With an absolutely long-lasting career in which she worked for multi-lingual films, she managed to leave her impression for all-time.
The sudden death of the 54-Year-Old actress has left the whole Indian film fraternity numb. While the death of actress is nothing less than a mystery. Starting from the way she died, to the actual forensic report showcased by the Dubai Govt, the dots remained detached even now.
It all started when her cousin Sanjay Kapoor went announcing, “Yes, it is true that Sridevi passed away. I just landed here, I was in Dubai and now I am flying back to Dubai. It happened roughly around 11.00-11.30. I don’t know more details yet”.
As per the sources, the actress was with her husband Boney Kapoor and daughter Khushi at the last moments. They were with the entire Kapoor family in UAE to attend the wedding ceremony of Mohit Marwah.
Coming to her birth details, she was named ‘Shree Amma Yanger Ayyapan’ at the time of birth. Sridevi worked in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada films before entering Bollywood. She started acting in the late 1960s, but her performance in Malayalam film Poombata (1971) won her the state award for best child artist.
Post the immense success in South Indian movies, she made her debut in Bollywood as a child artist in Julie (1975). Her first adult role was at the age of 13 in Tamil film Moondru Mudichu (1976). In-time. Sridevi went on to become one of the biggest female stars India.
Witnessing her work, the government of India awarded her Padma Shri, the fourth highest civilian honor, in 2013. Sadma, Chandni, Himmatwala, ChaalBaaz, Mr India, Nagina, Mawali, Tohfa, and Gumrah are some of her most remarkable films. To everyone’s surprise, after working in Judaai, Sridevi took a 15-year break from movies only to be back to winning hearts in her second innings with English Vinglish in 2012.
She was last seen in 2017 film MOM. Her most memorable on-screen pairing was with her brother-in-law Anil Kapoor, while her most successful films were produced by husband Boney Kapoor. Now, her elder daughter Janhvi is set to make her Bollywood debut this year with Karan Johar’s directorial Dhadak.
Coming to the possibilities behind her means of death, there are still a plethora of assumptions. However, this phone call in between the actress and her childhood friend Pinky Reddy is now raising some serious doubts on the same. She revealed various things talking to one of the media houses. She was quoted saying, “I spoke to her the day she was leaving for Dubai. She was down with fever and was on antibiotics. She was feeling tired, but she said that she has to go to the wedding. I have seen her professional rise. Her death is shocking. We are devastated.”
As per the sources, both are best friends since they are eight. Pinky’s father even produced one of Sridevi’s superhit film ‘Chandni‘. She further added, “She had specially flown down to Hyderabad for two hours to attend my daughter’s baby shower. Can you imagine that? That was the last time I saw her.”
Addressing about the marriage life of the both, Pinky conveyed that Boney Kapoor was totally broken and Sridevi was very happy with Boney and they were very much in love with each other since the early days.
