A Bihar Student Left Baffled After Seeing His Admit Card With Lord Ganesha Photo

In a bizarre incident, a student got shocked after seeing his admit card. Krishna Kumar Roy, a first-year student who was appearing for B Com (Hons) Part-1 exams was left baffled when he saw the picture on his admit card.

The student got the shock of his educational era when he saw the picture of Lord Ganesha on his admit card. The printer of the admit cards of a university in Bihar had printed the picture of Lord Ganesha’s photo instead of the student.

Krishna Kumar Roy belongs to the prestigious Lalit Narayan Mithila University in Darbhanga. Krishna Kumar went to the college to collect his admit card and was surprised. The admit card was issued by the university on Wednesday, exams for which are scheduled to begin from October 9.

The picture of Lord Ganesha on his admit card instead of his was not the only goof up that jolted Krishna. There is also a signature of Lord Ganesha in place of the student’s on the admit card. The residential address of Krishna is also printed wrong in the admit card.

The said goof-up has landed the college a spot on ‘talk-of-the-town’. However, the incident only highlighted the casual approach being adopted by the authorities.

“I had filled the examination form correctly along with my photo, but I am shocked to see Lord Ganesha’s photo on my admit card. Will Lord Ganesha sit for the exams? I am running from pillar to post to rectify the mistake but no one is willing to listen. This is the negligence of University authorities” said, Krishna Kumar Roy.

“It appears that the mistake has been done by the cyber cafe where admit cards were prepared. They should have looked into this. We are inquiring into the matter as to how this mistake happened. We will rectify the mistake soon and the candidate will have no problem in appearing for exams,” said Kulanand Yadav, Controller of Examination of the Lalit Narayan Mithila University, when contacted over the goof-up said.

When contacted, the authorities of the Lalit Narayan Mithila University, they defended themselves and blamed the cyber cafe which was outsourced the work to prepare to admit cards for the candidates.

This is not the first time such mistake happened, earlier this year, in January, the Bihar Board had put a topless photo of a Bhojpuri actress on the admit card of a girl who was to appear for Bihar Staff Selection Commission exams.
