BJP Declares Kiran Bedi as CM Candidate in Delhi Assembly Polls

Kiran Bedi, former bureaucrat and Indian Police Service officer has been declared as CM candidate of BJP for Delhi Elections and as Chief Election campaigner. Kiran Bedi who has been a buzz since a week after remarking her political entry joining into Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) after a much-awaited demand from her followers and astounding any people across the nation. Earlier in the past when she was asked many a times about her indulgence into the direct politics and she reported that she wouldn’t desire to do so as of now and never hinted about her political entry too. After joining into Bharatiya Janata Party giving a jolt to the Indian political personalities and critics a week ago she claimed that it was Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of India, leadership inspired her to join into Politics and serve the people of this nation like him.

Kiran Bedi Gives Shock to BJP Leaders and Political Personalities

Despite joining merely a week ago into the Bharatiya Janta Party, Kiran Bedi has emerged as a CM candidate of Delhi from BJP. Kiran Bedi’s nomination as CM candidate of BJP passed a lucid message to party leaders and she was made in charge of campaign committee. Preliminarily it was reported by the BJP that she will contest from the Krishna Nagar seat. BJP president Amit Shah declared after the meeting of the Parliamentary Board said that “The BJP will contest the Delhi elections under the leadership of Mrs Kiran Bedi and she is also the party’s Chief Ministerial candidate.” Amit Shah in a media interaction conveyed that Kiran Bedi wishes to contest her elections from Krishna Nagar which is a “traditional” seat of the BJP.

Current Union Minister of Science and Technology Dr Harsha Vardhan, former Chief Ministerial candidate of BJP during the 2014 Delhi General Assembly elections contested from Krishna Nagar and won his election. Seems Kiran Bedi is totally replacing former CM aspirant of BJP Dr Harsh Vardhan taking over his prior constituency and his room at Bharatiya Janta Party Office. It is believed that Kiran Bedi’s name was announced ahead of voting on February 7 to quell dissenting voices in the party and also to counter Aam Aadmi Party leader Arvind Kejriwal who is ahead of others in several pre-poll surveys.
