It was an embarrassing situation for the BJP government in Rajasthan after a photo of state Health Minister Kalicharan Saraf urinating on the walls of the pink city has gone viral and is being widely shared on social media. Actually, BJP in Rajasthan is trying to bring the city up in the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan rankings.
India Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched Swachh Bharat Abhiyan in order to make India clean and stop open defecation in the country. In this regard, a good number of toilets are being constructed in various parts of India for sanitation purposes so that people don’t need to go out in open.
We also saw politicians and celebrities promoting cleanliness all over the country. But there are a few ministers of the ruling party who don’t practice what they actually talk. After the photo of Kalicharan Saraf went viral, the minister quite naturally got slammed by the netizens.
This incident didn’t go well with the BJP unit in Rajasthan as they are trying to increase the rankings of the city in Swachh Bharat Abhiyan and here their own minister is creating an embarrassing situation for them. Party’s Rajasthan unit Vice President Archana Sharma called it a “shameful deed” when the government was spending money on the Swachh Bharat Mission.
Govt talks about #SwachchBharat Mission but health minister here in Rajasthan is caught urinating in public. Govt should be ashamed and must publicly apologize: Raghu Sharma,Congress on viral picture of Rajasthan Health Minister Kalicharan Saraf urinating on road pic.twitter.com/DIoyuofaQK

Kalicharan’s phone is switched off and media persons are not able to contact him but it is being reported that he, however, dismissed the incident as “not a big issue”. And the opposition, Congress party was quick to hit back. They even demanded him to resign from the ministry. The government should be ashamed and must publicly apologize.
Later, the minister was slammed on Twitter by common people and celebrities.
