Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA Vel Singh Dhuria had been in NEWS for threatening a journalist to kill them in encounter. This was stated by the MLA because of asking several questions to him during a public meeting. As he was MLA present there for a meeting, the journalists are also there and they are doing their duty.
But the former RSS person had lost his cool when he was asked about farmer’s compensation and had stated that he would encounter the journalist. Bhuriya said, “Talking of my rights, I even have the right to encounter someone, if people breach peace and indulges in problematic activities. You have made me the MLA so respect me like one,” he added.
MLA also said that the manner in which the questions were asked was not proper and he disliked the way the questions were posted. He also said he realized the mistake and said that talking in front of a crowd including kids was not proper and suggested to continue discussions in some other places.
The common people who watched this scene had shot the video and were uploaded in the Internet and Whatsapp. Reacting and objecting to the video and the behaviour of the MLA, Congress spokesperson Pankaj Chaturvedi said that BJP MLAs have forgotten their limits completely. “Threatening those who made him MLA is laughable and condemnable as well,” he said.
He also urged CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan for reining in his MLAs with exhibiting such weird behaviour with some fresh course. A senior journalist commented that Bhuriya was not known for such threatening statements but he somehow crossed the limits and said what he should not have said as a legislator.
