BJP candidate Sunny Deol, who is also a renowned Bollywood actor, is currently leading by more than 49000 votes in Gurdaspur, Punjab, as per reports by 12:30 pm.
Sunny Deol is fighting against Sunil Jakhar, which is from the Congress Party.
62-year-old Sunny Deol is the choice of the BJP to fight and take back the seat from the Congress party.
Sunny Deol currently holds 54% of the votes and has a total of 1,91,239 accumulated votes so far.
Sunil Kumar Jakhar currently holds 40.2% of the votes and has a total of 1,42,465 votes so far.
During the electoral campaigns of Sunny Deol in Gurdaspur, Punjab, he said, “I do not know much about issues like Balakot strikes or India’s relations with Pakistan. I am here to serve people; if I win maybe I will have an opinion, right now I don’t.”
