Chhattisgarh Police published a recruitment notification on the official website. As per that notification, a total of 655 vacancies of Sub Inspector, SI (Special Branch), SI (Angul Chinh), SI (document under question), SI (Computer), SI (Telecommunications), Subedar and Platoon Commander posts. The online application process is to begin on 24th August. All the applicants have to submit their forms before 16th September 2018.

Selection Procedure: At first, documents of the applied candidates would be analysed and then, the physical measurement and Physical Efficiency Test will be organised.
- For Males: Aspirants have to complete the 1500 metres running in 5 minutes and 40 seconds.
- For Females: candidates have to finish the 800 metres running in 3 minutes and 20 seconds.
The Physical Efficiency Test will be qualifying in nature and no marks will be added. Candidates have to qualify this test to appear for the written test.
The written examination consists of four different sections – General Hindi & English and Aptitude Test, General Knowledge, Science and Computer Science. Each section carries 100 marks.

Educational Qualifications:
- For Sub Inspector, Sub Inspector (Special Branch), Subedar and Platoon Commander Posts: Candidate must possess a graduation degree from any recognised university/ institution.
- For Sub Inspector (Angul Chinh) and Sub Inspector (document under question): the applicant must have completed graduation in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry subjects.
- For Sub Inspector (Computer): applying candidate must have completed BCA/ B.Sc (Computer) or equivalent from a recognised university.
- Sub Inspector (Radio): must hold three year diploma/ degree in Electrical/ Electronics/ Telecommunication Engineering from a certificated university/ institution.
Age Limit:- the applicant must have attained the age of 18 years and not older than 28 years as on 1st January 2018. Candidates belonging to SC/ ST category or Other Backward Classes (Non-Creamy Layer) to get age relaxation of 5 years.
Examination Fee:- Candidates belonging to General category or Other Backward Classes have to pay Rs. 400/- while those belonging to SC/ ST categories need to pay Rs. 200/- as examination fee.
