Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh blames Navjot Sidhu’s hug with Pakistan army chief for loss in Punjab

Punjab CM (Chief Minister) Captain Amarinder Singh blames Navjot Sidhu’s hug with Pakistan army chief, his remarks on Pakistan, and the ongoing investigation of the desecration of the Guru Granth Sahib Ji for their loss in Punjab, especially in Bathinda.

During an interview, Captain Amarinder Singh said, “While everyone has the right to promote themselves in a democracy, it was wrong of him to make controversial comments once the battle had started.”

Harsimrat Kaur Badal, the leader of the Akali Dal, defeated Amrinder Singh Raja Warring of the Congress party by nearly 22,000 votes in Bathinda.

Harsimrat Kaur Badal calls the loss of Congress as a “slap on their face” and added that the party started a false campaign against her.

CM Amarinder Singh said that the hug of Navjot Singh Sidhu with the army chief of Pakistan was not accepted by the public.

He added, “How could something like that be tolerated, especially by army personnel who are being killed by Pakistan-backed terrorists?”

Navjot Singh Sidhu hugged Qamar Javed Bajwa, the Army General of Pakistan, during his visit to Islamabad as he attended the oath-taking ceremony of Imran Khan, the current Prime Minister of Pakistan.

Congress won 8 of the 13 seats of the Lok Sabha in Punjab, BJP won 4, and 1 by a non-aligned candidate.
