China Got Stuck In Traffic Jam In A 50-Lane Wide Highway

This could be one of the great experience for everyone and never seen before. An unbelievable queue of traffic formed across a 50-lane road in China. This scene was unbelievable which makes everyone afraid of taking their vehicle out on the road. The traffic caused due to a new toll station started in Beijing.

The vehicles were travelling on the G4 Beijing-Hong Kong-Macau Expressway, which has 50 lanes in some areas.

These huge numbers of vehicles are out due to the holiday makers attempted to make it home for the end of long National Day festival. The festival was celebrated from the creation of the People’s Republic of China since 1949. The National Day celebration is also known as one of the country’s ‘Golden Weeks’

Many of the drivers were frustrated after sitting for a long time in traffic and chose to walk around the highway. Prior to the checkpoint, the road is at its widest. However, after the checkpoint the highway narrows down to only a handful of lanes. The bottleneck caused traffic to back up for miles and caused serious delays for thousands of motorists.

According to the reports, the jam to be a consequence of newly erected checkpoint which led to the traffic compressing into a 50-lane-wide commute. China has experienced a massive surge in a number of people on its roads, causing congestion in almost all areas.
