Circus Tamer Ettore Weber Mauled To Death By 4 Tigers During Rehearsal

Ettore Weber, who is one of the best circus tamers in the world, was killed by his own tigers two days ago.

Reports suggest that Ettore was killed by his 4 tigers on July 4 evening at the Circo Ofei while he was rehearsing with the Tigers.

It is believed that one of the Tigers knocked 61-year-old Ettore to the ground and was mauled to death afterward.

As per the report of La Gazzetta Del Mezzogiorno, the 4 Tigers played with the body of Weber for 30 minutes after he passed away.

The news agency added that the medics couldn’t do anything and were stunned when they saw Weber.

Circus performers also tried to drive the animals away but failed.

The police have launched an investigation for the incident, trying to find the reason what triggered the attack.

Investigating officers said that the circus tamer sustained a number of injuries, such as severe trauma to his spine.

The attack by the four tigers took place just hours before the show was going to happen. It is still not clear about what’s going to happen with the animals that were involved.

But according to local news agencies, the 4 tigers have been moved to the Brindisi and the Zoosafari area.

The Circo Orfei were about to perform a number of shows from June 15 to July 14.

The group is still to announce if they are going to continue their tour or not.

Earlier this year, a new bill in the United Kingdom stopped circuses from using wild animals in their shows.

Michael Gove, the environment secretary of the UK, said, “Travelling circuses are no place for wild animals in the 21st century and I am pleased that this legislation will put an end to this practice for good. Today’s announcement follows other measures we have taken to strengthen our position as a world leader on animal protection.”
