A Complaint Was Lodged Against The Players On The Use Of Indian Tri-Colour On Their Helmets

Even if team India wins or loses the matches, people always keep on criticizing the players in something or the other aspect. Although things are going well for Team India, they might be bothered by the usage of Tri-color on the helmets. A Complaint has been lodged against using the tricolor Indian flag on cricketer’s helmets.

Social activist and filmmaker P Ullhas alerted the Mohali Police about the matter. Ullhas said that it was illegal to paste the tri-color on the helmets as it was an insult to the national pride. Ullhas first registered the complaint to the Home Ministry, before being directed to the police station. Ullhas also added that players sometimes are seen spitting on the ground where the helmets are kept at times.

Even MS Dhoni was informed about this and he stopped using it on his helmet. Dhoni has stopped donning the tri-color, but many other players such as Virat Kohli still using the flag on his helmet. As of now the Mohali police hasn’t been instructed to take action.

This is not the first time Ullhas has made headlines regarding cricketing matters. Earlier too he lodged a complaint against Amitabh Bachchan when he had wrongly sang the National Anthem at Eden Gardens when India played against Pakistan.
