We all love some sports, whether its cricketer or football. And our love for that game brings us to someone who plays that game well. And from that point, that player earns our respect and becomes our idol.
We get very attached to that player and have a lot of respect for them in our hearts. We would give anything to see them achieve the most significant goal there is.
However, it’s not healthy for anyone to make that individual your life. But that is precisely what Dinu Alex did.
Dinu Alex, 30, had gone missing from his residence at Arumanoor upon the River Meenachil on June 22. He was last seen watching the World Cup match between Messi-led Argentina and Croatia, which the South American nation lost 0-3. Ever since that the Police and Fire and Rescue Units had launched a search operation.
Later on, according to the police his body was fished out from the river at Illikkal around 8.30am. Police said that his body would be handed to his relatives after an autopsy.
According to police a handwriting note was found,
“Nothing is left for me to see in this world. I am leaving… Nobody is responsible for my death,”
Speculations are that he killed himself over the loss of Argentina. It’s also said that he was an introvert and had very few friends. He, however, followed all major league football matches and was crazy about Messi.
In one of his books he had written: “Messi, my life is for you, waiting to see you lift the cup.” In another place, he wrote, “My team is starting its journey, carrying my life. I will do it”.
According to his family, he saw the match with his family and then went to sleep. His friends tried calling him, but his number was switched off. Later that night, his mom woke up at around 4:30 am. To her attention the lights in his room were on, so she went to check in and could not find him. Then she woke up his father, who noticed the note and contacted Police.
