DSK Fraud Case, Ravindra Marathe Gets Bail

Today Pune court granted the bail to the managing director of Bank Of Maharashtra in DSK Fraud Case. CEO named Ravindra Marathe also relieved by the court today.
Both managing director and CEO were involved in the cheating case.

 

 

Judge of the special Pune court SN Sardesai granted her bail under MPID ( Maharashtra Protection Of Intrest Of Depositors). Court relief Ravindra Marathe on the surety bond of Rs 50,000.

But apart from this while granting bail to the CEO Ravindra Marathe, the court remanded other persons arrested in the case for 14 days judicial custody.

People who are arrested in DSK Fraud Case

The other persons who are arrested in the case include some big names like Rajendra Gupta who is the Bank’s executive director, Nityanand who is the Zonal Manager of the bank, Sushil Muhnot former CMD of the bank, and Sunil Ghatpande chartered Accountant.

 

 

While granting the bail to Marathe, the court barred him from travelling outside India without the permission of the police officials who are appointed as the officer of the case.

Arguments on the application of bail for other 5 accused will be heard tomorrow said by Nimbalkar.

The whole case started last week when the police officials arrested Ravindra Marathe along with other top Officials of the bank. For misusing their official positions for sanctioning the loan to DS Kulkarni’s firm DSKDL.

Marathe lawyer had contented his bail. He said that the arrest was totally illegal because the police are failed to take the prior permission for arrest and prosecution.

After this court granted bail to the CEO and said, custodial interrogation of Marathe is not required. The police officials already seize all the necessary documents of the case.

 

In recent past city, police had filed the 37000-page charge sheet against DS Kulkarni and his wife.

As per the charge sheet of the city police, the total scam of DS Kulkarni is worth Rs 2043.18 Crores. Along with this Kulkarni floated 9 different firms to syphon off funds from 33000 investors.

According to the police the bank officials use their powers and authority to sanction and disburse the amount under the loan. A decision on bail of other 5 officials is tomorrow.
