Elderly Woman On Bus Dies From Head Injury After Driver Slammed Brakes

An elderly woman died from a head injury when a bus was forced to brake suddenly.

According to the police, the driver of the bus was forced to hit the brakes after a white van suddenly stopped in front of the bus.

The elderly woman, whose age and identity was not shared with the public, hit her head at a part of the bus.

The police said the driver of the bus brought the bus to a sudden halt, causing the passenger to be thrown forward.

The woman was brought to a hospital in a critical condition.

It is reported that fellow passengers on the bus performed first aid on her.

The police later confirmed that the woman died and her family was informed.

The driver of the white van did not stop after hitting the brakes, but the police have traced him.

The spokesperson of the Merseyside Police released a statement about the incident.

The statement said, “The female passenger has sadly passed away. Her next-of-kin have been informed.”

The statement added, “The driver of the van has now been traced and enquiries are ongoing.”

The police are also asking for witnesses to come forward.
