Emirates flight EK251 arriving from Trivandrum (India) crash-lands in Dubai. Around 300 people including passengers and crew walked away from this flight before the flight burst into flames due to crash-landing on the runway of Dubai’s airport on Wednesday( August 3, 2016). There no signs of injuries to passengers but unfortunately a firefighter lost his life in this incident.
After the occurrence of this incident, a video footage inside the flight during evacuation taken by a passenger started going viral in social media. The critical moments of evacuation have been captured in the video. One of the passengers shouted “my laptop” and some crew members shouted at the passengers “leave the bag, jump outside”, “bag later”. And also it can be heard that a female crew member urges the passengers saying “leave bags and jump outside”Click here to watch the video.
An Etihad flight attendant shared this video on his facebook wall and referred Indian passengers as “fucking rats” and “stupid” in that post. He also said that passengers waste time on gathering their belongings instead of just evacuating.
The comments to this post were also against Indian passengers.
In response to this, Mohit Dantre, a UAE based RJ and TV reporter posted against this attendant on his facebook wall.
Dantre defended the passengers and slammed this attendant for this abusive comments.
Attendant gave a reply to Dantre about his post saying that “Rats is a term I use for anyone who behaves like an idiot”.
Regarding this incident Dantre says,
“Almost every Indian who has flown Etihad or Emirates from Dubai and Abu Dhabi towards India can confirm an indifferent attitude of the crew towards passengers,The crew is usually super well behaved and alert on western flights, but lax and unpleasant on flights to India and Pakistan etc,”
