Sharad Sagar, a 24-year-old entrepreneur from Bihar, has been invited by the US President Barack Obama to the White House to attend a special gathering of world leaders. The Founder and CEO of Dexterity Global is the first person from Bihar to be listed in the prestigious Forbes 30 under 30 List.
Sharad Sagar from Bihar is going to represent Indian at the Entrepreneurship Summit called by US president Barack Obama. The event titled “South by South Lawn: A White House Festival of Ideas, Art, and Action” will be held on October 03, 2016.
“Dexterity Global is a system of educational platforms that serves undergraduate and high school students in Southeast Asia. The goal is to make sure the next generation can connect with the world.” Dexterity Global impacts over 1.2 million children annually in India and other parts of South Asia through its ecosystem of educational platforms.
According to the official White House statement, “the event will bring together creators, innovators, and organizers who work day in and day out to improve the lives of people around the world. It is a celebration of the great work these people have already accomplished.”
On its website, Sagar’s Dexterity Global says it aims to power “the next generation of leaders through educational opportunities” and connect the remotest child with the best opportunities”.
“Dexterity Global was founded the same year President Obama assumed office and he has had a great influence on me as a leader. It’s a great honor for me to be invited to this special gathering at the White House and meet the world’s most powerful leader personally,” Sharad said.
At 24, Sharad Vivek Sagar has joined the likes of Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg and Nobel laureate Malala Yousafzai by featuring in Forbes’ fifth annual ‘30 Under 30’ list of social entrepreneurs. The founder and CEO of Boston-based Dexterity Global said he was “thrilled and honored” to be on the list.
