Steve and Lenka Thomson won the massive £105m Jackpot in the Euromillions Jackpot, but despite winning the jackpot, Steve wants to continue working.
The couple won the 9th biggest jackpot in the United Kingdom’s lottery history after matching all 5 numbers and both lucky stars in the draw, which happened on November 19, 2019.
Despite winning the £105m Jackpot, 42-year-old Steve, a builder, said he will continue to work despite being a multi-millionaire.
Steve, who lives in Selsey, West Sussex, said, “I am not sure I even looked at the first two lines, the third one just jumped out and I could instantly tell they all matched.”
He added, “I started shaking a lot. I knew it was a really big win but didn’t know what to do. I went out to my van, walked back in, thought about knocking on a neighbor’s door, went back to the van – I think I was on the verge of having a heart attack.”
Talking about his work, Steve, who has 3 children, said he would have got all his jobs done by Christmas if he did not win the jackpot.
He added, “Once I am over the shock I will need to keep doing something, I am not the type just to sit still. My business partner knows that if he needs a hand I’ll be there.”
Steve said he will stop working in the future.
The father of 3 wants to upgrade to a bigger house.
I mean why wouldn’t he? He won the £105m Jackpot…
Stenka, the wife of Steve, shared the good news with their entire family after they won the lottery.
They have also gone public.
Steve explained why they decided to break out the news to everyone.
He said, “It would be so difficult to live a lie and not tell anyone about the win, especially with the fact we can both stop working and move house.”
Initially, Lenka thought they won 105,000, but the numbers turned out with 3 more zeros.
Lenka said she is going to visit her family back in Slovakia.
She continued, “Not only can I treat my family and see them more often, but we can also look to have other holidays, perhaps somewhere hot with a beach.”
Steve and Lenka talked about what their kids want.
The eldest son of the couple wants to get his own room, the middle one wants a Tesla vehicle, and their daughter wants a set of a pink smartphone.
