Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg surpassed the Oil magnets Charles and David Koch to become the sixth wealthiest person in the world. His company’s stock soared 13% on Thursday which made him become one of the richest persons in the world. Mark Zuckerberg earned a cool $1.6 billion in a single day, putting his new net worth at $33.3 billion.
These earnings beat street estimates, resulting in the rise in shares. The social networking company reported a 52% rise in fourth-quarter sales on Thursday while its net income saw a two-fold increase to $1.56 billion. As most of Zuckerberg’s fortune is tied to his holdings in Facebook, the stock price increase made him richer by $6 billion in one day.
