Indian cricketer Gautam Gambhir is known as one of the most outspoken celebrities when it comes to Indian Army. Gambhir has always stood in support of our Indian soldiers. We had seen him reacting to everything related to Indian Army. He has a soft corner for the jawans and cannot see anything bad happening to them.
Do you remember how he lashed out on Twitter when CRPF jawans were attacked in Kashmir? He donated his entire 2017 IPL prize money to CRPF’s Sukma attack victims. He also called on the nation to come out and support the Indian army. The cricketer has always respected the soldiers and so, he wants other Indians to do the same.
However, Gambhir, this time reacted to a different issue which is currently the hot topic in the country. And it is Panchkula violence. The verdict day of Baba Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan, who was later convicted by a special CBI court for raping two sadhvis way back in 2002 turned into a dark day in Northern parts of India.
The verdict took place in Panchkula and in no time the situation turned into a classic case of hooliganism. The consequences of the judgement saw the followers of the popular saint going berserk and breaking all rules and regulations on the road. The violence caused by the followers has even resulted in the few deaths.
The government and the police failed to control the whole situation after more than one lakh blind followers of Baba started protesting. This violence reached Panchkula, Sirsa, Ganganagar and even parts of Delhi.
Condemning the whole act, Gautam Gambhir took to Twitter to share his feelings on the violence caused in Haryana and Punjab. Gambhir was upset and shared a post which read, “Wonder what Ram & Rahim are thinking about the ‘Insaan’ & his misdeeds today! A classic case of religion marketing!”

He has always been vocal about major issues in the country so this is certainly not surprising. Earlier, too, whenever there has been any issue which drew national attention, Gambhir was quick to respond.
Other than Gambhir, Sehwag, Mohammad Kaif, Akash Chopra also shared their view regarding the issue.
Utterly shameful behavior by the mob killing innocent lives.Salute to the bravery of the 2 girls who fought for this justice.#MSGConvicted
