Georgia Man Arrested After Calling The Police 3 Times To Confess Crimes He Committed

When we break a law or do something horrible, we regret it and think about changing for good, and this same thing applied to a burglar in Georgia.

A man who apparently felt so bad about breaking the law decided to call the police 3 times to confess the crimes that he did.

Lt. Tim Watkins with the Thomas County Sheriff’s Office said a man called them at 5 am on Friday to confess that he had stolen a car in Thomasville, which is located 20 kilometers away.

An officer was sent to the scene to look for a Chevrolet Impala and a 29-year-old Quent Rashed Lankford, but the officer failed.

Lankford called back again, and another time to say he had broken into a convenience store and was drinking beer.

Lt. Watkins said, “He wanted to confess and turn himself in. He called three times.”

The Boston Police tracked the man down and arrested Lankford.

The car that he stole was found in Thomasville later on.

The 29-year-old was charged with second-degree burglary, and theft charges.

Lankford was jailed and is awaiting a bail hearing.

Let’s talk about change eh?
