In sport, uncontrollables play a major role in determining the fortunes of an individual or team. Cricket is no stranger to that, nor is the Indian Premier League. Plenty of times in the IPL, teams have been without their key players – either for a few matches or an entire season – for a variety of reasons. This year, it’s Chennai Super Kings’ turn to be hit by the bug. First its Kedar Jadhav who was ruled out of the tournament due to a hamstring injury, Suresh Raina picked up a calf problem that will likely keep him out of action for two matches. Even as Faf du Plessis was heading close to full fitness, recovering after a gruelling home season in South Africa, his teammate Lungi Ngidi had to fly back following the desmie of his father.
The two-time former IPL champions have started their comeback season with a bang winning their first two games. In the third game MS Dhoni almost single handedly won them the game against Punjab. They missed their superstar players Suresh Raina in that game.
Suresh Raina,is one of the best performing players in the IPL and the highest run-scorer in the IPL before Virat Kohli became the highest run-scorer in the last game.
Suresh Raina suffered a calf-injury while playing against KKR and due to which he won’t play a few matches.
Recently, Jonty Rhodes took to twitter and asked about the health of Suresh Raina. “Hope the injury has recovered little brother; have missed watching you in the field!” he said.
Here’s what Jhonty Rhodes twitter:

In response Suresh Raina posted a picture of himself sitting in a bus sitting with other cricketers revealing that he would be getting back to training today.

Its surely a good news for Chennai Super Kings as it makes the team much more stronger with Suresh Raina in the team.
