Picking up a man and entitling him as a convict in eve teasing has become easy to believe. It has been a week when the Internet collectively applauded Atif Aslam picturising him as a hero.
And here is the opportunity, people already took this as an advantage to intensify the safety and security for women agenda. Till now, there was only one side of the story and that too, the third person story. It was a mere observation criterion by the popular singer, Atif Aslam.
Media didn’t take too much time to label him as a “rapist” and a “molester”.
His side of the story was never heard. However, this is not something rare that happened in our country, various misleading cases were registered and proved from ages. Women taking advantages of the constitutional laws and blaming a man without reason has become quite common, and according to the latest sources, this is such an incident.
A popular media channel in Pakistan finally came up with the another version of the story, which in actual is the boy’s version (person who was beaten by mob following Atif Aslam’s orders)

Singer Atif Aslam Stops His Concert To Rescue A Girl From Eve-Teasing
Here Is The Video Footage Of The Concert:
While addressing the media, this guy explained that he is a student of IBA and he declared that he was one of the people who was responsible for ensuring security at the concert.
“My job was to ensure that nobody crosses over from the non-VIP section to the VIP section without a valid ticket.
I saw two girls accompanied by a guy crossing over from the non-VIP section and forcing their way to the front row, like a lot of other people were also doing. There was a lot of rush in the front of the stage and these people were continuing to push through. I confronted these people and politely asked them to either show their VIP pass or go back to their own section, which they refused. That is when these girls started getting violent. They started scratching at my neck and face with their long nails, they slapped me on the face, punched me and incited a whole mob against me.
It was exactly at this point when these girls were scratching at my face violently and the boy who accompanied them was punching my face and kicking me, Atif Aslam saw us.”
Further, he added:
“INSTEAD OF TRYING TO UNDERSTAND THE REAL STORY, ATIF ASLAM BLAMED ME, THE ACTUAL VICTIM. NOBODY LISTENS TO MEN IN OUR SOCIETY ESPECIALLY WHEN A WOMAN HAS SAID ANYTHING AGAINST HIM – IT DOESN’T MATTER TRUE OR FALSE. WHEN ATIF ASLAM SAID ‘RESCUE THESE GIRLS,’ EVERYONE THOUGHT I WAS MOLESTING THEM AND A HUGE MOB STARTED BEATING ME UP FOR NO REASON. I HAVE NEVER BEEN BEATEN SO BADLY IN MY ENTIRE LIFE, AND THAT TOO FOR JUST DOING MY JOB.”
“Those girls were not the victims, they were vicious, violent and rude. Because of them, I have scars on my face and neck that will stay with me forever. I was traumatised and everyone has refused to listen to me or understand my side of the story” he added.
Summarising the facts, how does this sound now?
Lame! Isn’t it?
These days are like, whatever the girl says regarding the boy framing him as a molester, abuser or a rapist, he’s immediately stamped like that with no proper proofs or interrogation.
As if everything a woman can say is holy and sacred.
Shame on media on playing cheap hurdles for attention. Earlier a similar kind of case was registered in the Indian capital New Delhi and it took so much time to realise the truth behind the issue. This is another such issue.
The time came now, don’t ever entitle a person as an abuser just after hearing one side of the story. Justice must be mutual.
