There is always this line of indifferences between politicians and cops. Sometimes when they bond together, a mammoth-sized black money will erupt, while other times, things quite possibly don’t go well and cops often get assaulted or abused by the politicians in public. Most of the times, it is politicians who slap or hurt the government officers at the events, but, now, the situation got reversed.
Now, the incident that took place in Himachal Pradesh is the otherwise possibility. Asha Kumari, Congress MLA lost her temper and slapped a lady constable. Well, while this became quite a news, all that leaped the situation is the lady constable slapping her back at the moment. After all, Asha Kumari was indeed in for a shock of her life as she was slapped from someone belonging to bureaucratic divisions of a state her party ruled until a few days ago.
The incident surfaced the internet after the News agency ANI reported that the MLA was allegedly being stopped by the police from entering party president Rahul Gandhi’s review meeting in Shimla. Asha Kumari, the MLA, is a senior Congress leader. She holds the office of All India Congress Committee secretary and, additionally, is AICC in-charge of Punjab.
Coming to the political front, Asha is a member of the Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly from Dalhousie. She had last hit headlines after her appointment as the Congress in-charge of poll-bound Punjab. She had succeeded Kamal Nath days after he resigned following an opposition uproar but the choice triggered a controversy over her conviction in a land grab case.

Soon after this happened, Asha apologized accused the constable of abusing and pushing her. “She (woman constable) abused me and pushed me, she should have shown restraint, I am her mother’s age, but yes I agree I should not have lost my temper. I apologize,” she said.
Meanwhile, Rahul Gandhi has reacted to the incident, said, “I am not happy with it. This is no way. No one has a right to raise the hand against someone, at least not the Congress culture. I will not tolerate indiscipline in the party.”
