Carrying a child inside the womb is already hard but what is more difficult is the moment when you are about to give birth. In an unfortunate case, a poor, homeless and pregnant woman in the Philippines was denied medical assistance from the hospital and as a result, she had no choice but to give birth to her child on the on the streets—literally.
Based on the reports, the hospital denied helping the woman to have medical assistance, as she had no money to offer for the treatment, as well as no medical insurance which could cover the cost. At the last stage of her labour, the woman was forced to give birth outside the hospital. Some of the people were kind enough to help her as few birth specialists assisted in her delivery. Thankfully, both the baby and mother are now safe and are sheltered.
The video, which was uploaded on social media on June 12th, is now going viral.
