[WATCH] Honeypreet Insan Breaks Silence, Blames Media Of ‘Maligning A Father-Daughter Relationship’

Haryana’s sensation ‘Gurmeet Ram Rahim’ arrest has alarmed the whole North-Indian states from a few of days, the crowd unleashed a spree of violence soon after the Panchkula’s court verdict went against this self-claimed godman-baba. There raised a question in the Gurmeet team that who is the next chief of Dera Sacha Sauda?

The answer is Honeypreet Insan. She is the adopted daughter of Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh. She dearly quotes herself as ‘Papa’s Angel’ and is extremely close to Gurmeet Ram Rahim. Ever since she has joined Dera Sacha Sauda, her popularity and power have been immense. She handles a lot of tasks related to Dera Suda.

So, along with Ram Rahim, his alleged daughter has equally been in the news since the conviction. It has been more than a month since the Gurmeet Singh got sentenced 20 years in jail. On the other side, Honeypreet has absconded since her father’s arrest. She was last seen on the day of the verdict.

Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh’s ‘adopted daughter’ is accused of inciting violence after the Dera Sacha Sauda chief was convicted in twin rape cases on August 25. The violence following his conviction had left 40 dead. Honeypreet faces charges of sedition and inciting violence.

After evading arrest for over a month, Honeypreet Insan spoke to India Today and asked if the police had any evidence to prove she was guilty. She was upset about how her image was spoiled and claimed that she was never part of instigating riots in Panchkula.

“I have been called a traitor, which is absolutely wrong. I want to ask, how can a girl go alone without appropriate permission in the middle of the force? Later they all said that I was wrong. I just need to say that all evidence is there for the world to see. They accuse me of being involved in riots, but do they have any evidence against me,” she told in the interview from an undisclosed location.

It’s been about 40 days, that police had been searching her in UP, Punjab, Haryana, and Rajasthan. On 26 September, Delhi High Court dismissed the transit anticipatory bail plea of Honeypreet Insan.

However, people are now raising questions on why India Today didn’t share the location of Honeypreet with the police after knowing the fact that she is wanted. People are getting furious on Twitter as well. Here’s how people reacted:

On the question of surrender, she said that she would go to the Punjab and Haryana High Court once she is in a better “mental state.” “My father taught me lessons in patriotism. He said we’d live and die in the name of the country. Then he went to jail and I was called a traitor. Mental stithi sambhalne mein bhi time lagega na,” she said in a quivering voice.

Panchkula Police Commissioner told they were ready with arrangements on Honeypreet’s surrender. “The moment we have information, we’ll let you know. Our arrangements in this regard are active.”
