Hyderabad is one of the biggest City in India in many aspects. Hyderabad has been ranked as the top Indian city in the quality of living ranking, for the third year in a row, as per Mercer’s Quality of Living rankings 2017.
Earlier, Hyderabad was named as the ‘City of Pearls’ and now as the ‘Numero Uno City’. In this report, Hyderabad is said to be the city which has the best quality of living standards.
Better Choice For Education:
Both Hyderabad and Pune cities rank higher for the quality of living than the country’s more traditional business centers, Mumbai and New Delhi ranked at 154 and 161, respectively, as per the report. Hyderabad has got this position due to its better choice of educational institutions, low air pollution, low crime rate and efficient police force.
This was a global list, which covered 231 cities and Vienna (Austria) has topped it. Hyderabad has acquired the 144th position, as opposed to 139th position last year; however, the rankings are quite better than that of Mumbai (154) and Delhi (161).
Among Indian cities, Mumbai is ranked the highest at 141, followed by Kolkata (149) and Pune (151). Bangalore was rated the lowest at 177.
Interestingly, Hyderabad has slipped five ranks from 139 last year to 144, on account of decreased power supply and water availability. On the positive side, the city continues to score high, in comparison with other surveyed Indian cities, on account of the lower crime rate.
The report reads:
“In comparison with other metros in the country, Hyderabad offers a cosmopolitan environment and a higher standard of living at more affordable rates. The city’s international schools also offer good-quality education at a cost that is only one-third of of what is charged by schools in Mumbai and New Delhi.”
