Hyderabad: Cops Round Up Gangster Nayeem’s Dens & Seized 1.93 Kilos Of Gold, Guns

Hyderabad: When Nayeem was alive, the police were scared to raid his dens despite having information about arms and illegal cash there. After Nayeem was shot dead there 20 raids were conducted across the state.

Cyberabad police raided his city dens at Alkapuri Colony in Puppalaguda of Narsingi and Tulja Bhavani Colony in Injapur, Vanasthalipuram, on Monday morning, barely hours after his death in Shadnagar of Mahbubnagar district.

The Mahbubnagar police had no clue about the Hyderabad dens of Nayeem and were yet to establish his identity till noon, but their Cyberabad counterparts raided his four-storied fortified building at Alkapuri Colony in the early hours itself.

Military personnel blocked the road leading to the house restricting especially the media. During the searches, police seized 1.93 kilos of gold jewellery, Rs 2.8 crore cash, 200 mobile phones, including gem-studded watches, 10 gelatin sticks, a .022 mm pistol, three 9 mm pistols, a dummy revolver, 138 live rounds, 350 SIM cards and land documents pertaining to properties in several states, including the two Telugu states.

Cops also seized an Audi car (AP 09 BS 4959), registered in the name of MS Zain Refratek, parked in the neighbouring plot.

“We are yet to find out who owns the building and since when Nayeem had been staying here,” a senior police official of the Cyberabad West commissionerate said.

The entire search and seizure operation was conducted in the presence of revenue officials and, once they submit a panchnama report, the police would register an FIR.

Meanwhile, the Nalgonda police also conducted raids on the houses of family members and relatives of Nayeem in Bhongir and Miryalguda. They have taken five family members into custody for questioning about Nayeem and his activities. The searches were still continuing at the time of filing this report.
