Hyderabad Teen Dies in Street Fight of WWE Style for Biryani as Prize Money

Hyderabadi teen dies in a local wrestling match organized by the old city youngsters. Deceased teen collapsed on the spot who is believed to be dead during the wrestling match he was fighting with his friend. The  brutal incident took place at Panjesha in Mir Chowk of Hyderabad city where WWE-style street scuffle between the two youngsters took the life of a youngster for a packet of biryani being the coveted prize for the winner turned into a serious bout resulting in the death of an Intermediate student. The incident came to light a week later as it took place on Sunday 3rd May 2015.

Intermediate Student of Hyderabad Killed in Friendly Street Fight

Croaked teen was identified as 17 year old Mohammed Nabeel who was completed intermediate from Presidency Junior Coll-ege in Falaknuma broke down after being hit on his face and stomach during the grappling with his friend. Realizing the their friend Nabeel dead during the scuffle, friends of him maintained the affair as secret and convinced the victim’s family that he had died when he fell off his bike after having fits. Suspecting a  foul play parents of the Mohammed Nabeel, Mohammed Dastagir and Shabana from Miralam Mandi approached police for investigation while during the investigation of the police the details came forth as a video of the street fight on Sunday.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), South Zone, V Satyanarayana reported that on Sunday 3rd May intermediate student Owais Patel alias Awais Patel aged 19 years first fought Abu Bakr and won the bout at 6am in the morning.  Afterwards Awais Patel took on another group member Suleiman emerging as a winner of the bout again. Organizers of these series of fights were Omer Baig, 20, of Moghulpura in association with Sultan, 19, nephew of a hotelier in Panjesha, and referee Waseem Dollar, 20, from Mir Chowk.

Awais Patel who won the two consecutive fought scuffles had no challenger later in the group where Omer Baig, 20, of Moghulpura who was the chief organizer of the fight forced Nabil Mohammed to challenge and fight against Awais Patel. Nabeel who initially was unwilling to combat while he enraged to fight after being humiliated by Owais and Omer who called him as ‘hijra’ and coward. The whole series of events were recorded in mobile phones of the due combaters friends who were cheering and infuriating them.  Nabeel took on Owais initially by air lifting him to throw on to the ground while Owais Patel escaped from his clutches and showered a series of punched and kicks over Nabeel’s face, temple, neck and other sensitive areas of his physique which made him to collapse in a suspicious state.

He was rushed to the nearby  Durru Shehvar Hospital by his friends  while he was declared brought dead at 6.30am. Organizer of the event Omer Baig and Sultan along with a gang members informed the hospital staff and the family members of the Nabeel that he was injured while trying to do stunts on the bike. Mohammed Dastagir, father of the Nabeel was informed about his son’s death who was working as a cab driver in Dubai and he returned to Hyderabad on May 4 to know what exactly caused his son’s death. Last rites of the deceased youth were performed at the Barkas graveyard.

Mohammed Dastagir said “I grew suspicious and lodged a complaint with the police on May 7” who later found out a truth after questioning few youths and friends of Nabeel that his son died during a fight with Owais Patel. A video of the fight was secured from the a teenager which was shared on Whatsapp by the police which helped them to nab several suspects, including Owais Patel. DCP South Zone, V Satyanarayana told “We will exhume the body on Monday and conduct a spot post-mortem. Based on the report given by forensic experts, we will alter the case and arrest the culprits. A case was booked under section 174 (suspicious death) of the Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC).”
