Toyota Motor Corporation launched the first Body & Paint Technician (T – TEP) programme in Telangana State. The company says that this is the first distinctive training model which is announced on Tuesday at Government Industrial Training Institute, Sanathnagar.
Toyota has already taken up the general training T – TEP at Hyderabad as an endeavour to fill the gap between industry requirements and need for labour who are skilled. This general training is arranged in association with HEH, The Nizam & Alladin Technical Institute Industrial Training Centre.
In 2006 T – TEP launched a special training module in which Toyota tied up with Industrial Training Institutes. This aims at how training to IT students across India along with hands on real experience with Toyota dealerships.
M. Kinoshita, Executive Vice-President, Toyota Motor Corporation, said, “In addition to making quality automobiles, we believe in proactively contributing to society by consolidating the knowledge and know-how within Toyota to develop capable human resources and thus contribute to the development of a prosperous society.”
“We hope the students will be able to appreciate various aspects of monozukuri in the Toyota Way. They will not just learn but also practise it,” said A. Toyoshima, Managing Director, Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) Corporation.
“We hope that these bright young minds will be able to lead the strengthening of Toyota production System at the plant. Good people make good products,” said K.K. Swamy, Deputy Managing Director, TKM.
A joint venture between Toyota Motor Corporation and Kirloskar group is called TKM.
