As per the reports, Google is looking forward to expanding its Home smart speaker portfolio along with the launch of a new device called the Google Home Hub. As per the report details, the device comes with a display and leaked images of the device surfaced over the internet. Another report says that the Google Home Hub will have a price tag of USD 149 (Approx. Rs. 10,800). The Google Home Hub product is the rival of Amazon’s Echo Show which too has got a display but the price is heavier coming at USD 230 (roughly Rs. 16,600). The device by Google is expected to be launched at the event to be held for Pixel 3 devices on October 9.
The website MySmartPrice has reported the features along with several leaked images of the Google Home Hub along with the screenshots of product specifications that reveal the main design along with specifications details. The device is seen to be having at least 7-inch display with touchscreen facility, and a large speaker. As per the report, the tablet-shaped LCD won’t have the OS Android in it, but it will be having a scaled-down Google Assistant interface. We can take this as the Google’s Smart Displays, which too has got a special interface of Google Assistant. The Home Hub device can be controlled by voice in the same way in which products in the family, alongside few controls, can be used by the display screen. The screen will put up essential information like weather, daily commute and other schedule details along with the time. Speaker is behind the screen along with a mute toggle. The Hub is Chalk White in color like that of other Google speakers. As per the report, another color may be a Charcoal variant, but there are no images available to prove that.
The Google Home Hub can be paired with all kinds of home appliances compatible with it like lights, TVs, home cameras, and more. It will be able to access Google Photos through voice commands and the feature of Live Albums allows users to display photos in a slide-show format. The screenshots have got details like that of Google partnering with 400 brands to offer compatibility with more than 5,000 smart devices. It can work on 2.4GHx and 5GHz Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and will weigh 480 grams. As per the report, sensors include colored ones and ambient light.
