Indian Hockey chief coach resigned as chief Indian hockey coach and stated that ‘sporting bureaucracy’ has to be blamed as it made me to take such a step.

In a letter to Sports Authority of India (SAI) director general Jiji Thomson TerryWalsh’s “I hereby tender my resignation as the chief coach of the Indian men’s hockey team as I am finding considerable difficulty adjusting to the decision-making style of the sporting bureaucracy in India which, I believe, in the long term, is not in the best interests of Indian hockey or its players. In addition to my difficulties with not being able to professionally operate within these bureaucratic confines I am not willing to continue with the constant time away from my family in Australia. My current commitment places too much stress on my personal life.”
As per the sources it was learnt that Terry Walsh and few other staff members expressed displeasure over the tax deduction policy from their salary which hasn’t been officially known while it has to be yet to be confirmed which lead Terry Walsh to take the strong measure of quitting the Indian Hockey team.
Terry Walsh’s Incredible Direction To Indian Hockey Team
Former Indian Chief Coach Terry Walsh was appointed as India’s chief coach last year. And has his contract valid till this year’s November 19 which is till next month. What leaves Indian Hockey team in big illusion and throws a challenge is how are they going to perform in the upcoming Champions Trophy in India this December. Terry Walsh former Indian coach has driven the Indian hockey team to win gold this year for the first time of 16 years at Asian Games held at Incheon last month September 2014. Under his guidance and direction the Indian team was showing signs of improvement and the health of hockey in India, especially at the grassroots level was getting a boost.
Terry Walsh has an best working experience as Technical Director with USA field Hockey during 2005-2012 and as head coach of Malaysian National Hockey team in pursued his coaching career in 1990 where he 1994 while pursuing his coaching career in the year 1994. Terry Walsh has the experience of working as head coach of the Australian National team from 1997-2000 and under his coaching the team had won the Commonwealth Games in 1998, Champions Trophy in 1999 and a Bronze medal at the Sydney Olympic Games in 2000.
In a media interaction “Over the recent twelve month period I have become particularly attached to the playing group. In future years I would enjoy the prospect of retaining some involvement with the team and Indian Hockey,” said the former Indian Chief Coach Terry Walsh in a media interaction. Former Indian chief Coach Terry Walsh thanked the SAI for giving him an opportunity to work as head coach of the team. “May I thank you for the honour and opportunity to have worked with an Indian National Program for the last twelve months.
