Indian Railways Unveils ‘Make in India’ Train Coaches With Awesome Features, Have A Look

Indian Railways had been a step forward in ‘Make in India‘ proposal. Department of Railways had implemented the proposal and came with luxury coaches modified in Bhopal’s Habibganj railway station. The first model train was inspected by the Railway Board Chairman AK Mittal. Soon these coaches will reach Delhi and there will be another inspection conducted by Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu.

The new look passenger coaches have been designed by Bhopal’s coach rehabilitation workshop (CRWS) as part of an ambitious Rs 32 crore project. Hence, Indian Railways have been started modernizing as a part of ‘Make in India’ Project.

Though the coaches are 12 to 15 years old, all have been refurbished at the Carriage Rehabilitation Workshop in Bhopal. There will be a total of 111 coaches which would be refurbished with new features at an estimated cost of Rs 31.5 crore.

1. Seating System:

Seating System is arranged comfortably with enough space, LED reading lights, painted carpets and fire safety measures. These are the first ‘Make in India’ coaches with appealing and improved interior furnishings.

2. Beautiful Interior Design:

The coaches have been modified to provide the homely experience to the travelers.

3. New Features:

Seating indications are provided with clean and clear actions. This leads to a positive response from the passengers.

4. Regular Inspections:

An RPF personnel inspects.

5. New Toilet Models:

Toilets are equipped with added features such as discharged water tap, exhaust fan, LED lights, snack tables for side berth passengers, green toilet system, coaches comprising AC-1, AC-2 and Sleeper Classes bodies were showcased.

6. Outlook:

The outlook of the new coaches is painted with mixed colors. Eventually, it looks beautiful.
