No Matter Pakistan Sentenced Indian Agent Kulbushan Jadhav To Death, Here’s How India Treats A Pakistani Spy

In a recent move taken by Pakistan’s Field General Court Martial (FGCM) under the Pakistan Army Act (PAA) has resulted in awarding the death sentence to the alleged Indian spy Kulbushan Yadav. But Indian Police didn’t treat the Pakistani spy Sajeed Muneer in that way.

Bhopal police have been feeding and sheltering Sajeed Muneer for almost a year after his release from jail. Sajeed Muneer was jailed for 12 years for espionage but after his release, Pakistan did not respond to extradition requests by the Indian government.

Sajeed was arrested in Bhopal in 2004 following specific intelligence inputs while carrying confidential defense documents. The Bhopal Police was like they took the responsibility and the District Special Branch (DSB) has been taking care of him for 10 months now.

Investigations revealed that Muneer was lured by ISI while he was on a hideout in a murder case. According to the reports, Sajeed had murdered a Karachi youth to avenge his brother’s murder. While running away from the Karachi police he came in contact with an ISI officer who offered him a deal. Pak intelligence officer promised to save him from Karachi police if was ready to work for him in India.

Sajeed was kept at a place near Koh-e-Fiza Police station and DSB pays for his food and other necessities. Bhopal Police has repeatedly written to the police HQ to get his deportation process expedited but to no avail.

This is how Indian Police treat a Pakistani spy but Pakistan offers a death sentence to an Indian Navy Officer. “Sajeed was released from jail on June 5 after 12 years of imprisonment for spying on Army bases in Bhopal for ISI,” said a police officer.

According to the sources, Jadhav was “arrested” on March 3 last year by Pakistani security forces in the restive Balochistan province after he reportedly entered from Iran. Pakistan has alleged that Jadhav was “a serving officer” in the Indian Navy and deputed to the Research and Analysis Wing (R&AW). In addition to this, Pakistan Army had released a “confessional video” of Jadhav after his arrest.

We have to wait and see what step does Indian Government take regarding this issue.
