Women security has been a burning menace of the society from the beginning of the 21st century. Multiple cases of molestation, abuse and rape were registered across the country every day. In most of the IT companies, the boss-employee relations and the improper treatment of women by their higher authorities can be easily noticed.
Such incident took place in major IT firm Infosys in Pune. An IT employee Rasila Raju was murdered recklessly by a guard at the Infosys office in Pune on January 29, the convict cold-bloodedly killed the techie through entangling wire around the neck of the girl.
As a matter of compensation, the Infosys declared a generous compensation of Rs 1 crore to the Rasila Raju’s family and a job to one of her family member. As well as the legal payments will be made as per the company policy.
Meanwhile, the police had arrested security guard for the murder.
“The company also considers exgratia payments based on the circumstances. Infosys also endeavours to make every effort at a suitable employment opportunity for the next of kin who qualify its recruitment criteria”, a statement from Infosys read.
“In the tragic event of the demise of any employee under unfortunate circumstances, as happened in this instance with our employee, OP Rasila, in Pune, Infosys ensures that the next of kin of the deceased employee does not suffer financially in any way,” it added.
