After a special discussion on the Constitution last week to mark the 125th birth anniversary of BR Ambedkar, lawmakers in Parliament today debate the perceived rise in “intolerance” in the country – a subject that has ranged the opposition against the BJP-led government.
After the PM Modi‘s meeting with Congress President Sonia Gandhi and former PM Manmohan Singh, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led Central government is expecting that it will be able to pass the GST with consensus and not just a majority.
“Nothing has gone wrong during Narendra Modi’s regime as PM, there is absolute tolerance in the country,” parliamentary affairs minister M Venkaiah Naidu said. Check out more live updates from below.
