Police Report: On April 13, a girl from Bandipora District of Jammu and Kashmir committed suicide by consuming poison.
Officials said the girl committed suicide after her father raped her.
The police have arrested the father of the girl.
The police said that the girl consumed a poisonous substance inside their home and was brought to a hospital in Aragam Bandipora.
The body of the girl will be returned to the family after all legal medical formalities have been done.
A case under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code has been registered and a probe has been launched for the case.
