From 2019, JEE and NEET aspirants shall able to take exams twice a year. They can appear for retest if they miss a chance or are not satisfied with their scores.
Bringing the major reforms in the Examination System, the ministry of human resource development announced that the National Testing Agency (NTA) will be conducting these tests twice a year. Till now these tests were conducted by the central board of Secondary education.
National testing agency will start with the University grants commission’s national Eligibility test (UGC-NET) to be Conducted soon. Mostly in December.
Apart from NEET, JEE(Main), and UGC-NET, the NTA will also conduct GPAT (Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude test) and CMAT (common management admission test) form next year, 2019.
“This is one of the major reforms in the examination system of the country to be implemented by the NTA. The NTA will start conducting examinations starting this December with UGC-NET. The dates will be announced later by the agency. However, the big change is that for the 1st time JEE and NEET are going to be held twice a year. The students will also get a chance to select date and centers. All the exams will be computer-based” Said Javadekar.
He also mentioned that ,Every Year in
January , April -> JEE(Mains).
February, May -> NEET .
The good news is that There is no change in syllabus and no extra exam fee.
The question may vary from student to student and from day to day. The difficulty level remains same. Which will be designed engaging experts, researchers, statisticians, Psychometricians and will use highly secured IT software and encryption to avoid any leak and deliver in time.
For UGC-NET Application starts from September 1, 2018 and exam will be conducted from December 2 to December 16, 2018.
For JEE(Main)Registrations starts from September 1 to September 30, 2018. and result will be declared in feb.
For NEET applications will start from October 1, to October 31, 2018.
